The Black and Silver Ball at Eléa on 7th December. Great evening and fantastic food from Chef John Kouphou. Neil James provided the entertainment along with Christian Everett with his magic show. Really good to see so many friends. Christian is amazing but don’t play cards with him!
Eléa Christmas Fair
Our annual Elea Christmas Craft Fair took place on Sunday 1st December at Elea Golf Club Club with almost 60 stall holders displaying a wide range of products including candles, books, jewellery, sweets, ceramics, traditional crafts and toys.
We also has a wide variety of entertainment throughout the afternoon including the Candy Heartbreakers, Harmony, Military Wives Choir, young operatic singer George Iannou and the Paphos Dance Group and Warriors. The children at the fair were surprised when Santa Claus made a flying visit with presents for everyone donated by In any event.
A raffle took place for the One Dream, One Wish charity, the staff of Elea raised money for Solidarity of Paphos and fund raising took place for the Military Wives with €1040 raised on the day. It was another great event and the hundreds of visitors made a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day. We are delighted to work with Elea and to be able to hand over such a large sum to the charities’.
Kamares Christmas Fair
Our annual Christmas Bazaar held on Saturday 16th November at Kamares Club, Tala raised 1350€ for five local charities. Sponsored by UK EXPATS this year there were almost 60 stall holders displaying their home made and imported products.
The event gets bigger every year and the weather was perfect. Santa Claus paid a surprise visit bringing gifts for the children and the entertainment included The Spa Tonic Health Centre, The Military Wives Choir, Young Stars, DJ Boycie and the Candy Heartbreakers.

Celebrating Halloween at Kamares Club. Christian Everett provided magic to start the evening entertainment, followed by Scary DJ Boycie. Everyone joined in the spirit of the occasion and had a great time.
Chinese Night at Kamares Club
The Chinese Night at Kamares Club proved to be a great evening with over well 100 people attending. Singer Ronnie Barone entertained us and we had a Tai Chi demonstration to start the evening. Hopefully this will become a regular venue for events.
iConnect-Cyprus Golf Tournament 2013
The event started on the Thursday with a One Dream One Wish 36 holes in a day challenge at Aphrodite Hills and Eléa followed by the prestigious iConnect-Cyprus Golf Challenge on Friday 6th September. Overall winners were the Loudmouth Clothing Cyprus team, represented by Peter and Paula Anderton with Chris and Anita Hopkins.
The Gala dinner was held on the Saturday 7th September with a superbly amusing after dinner speech from Alex Stepney, a memorable charity auction with John Conteh and music from Dominic Holmes.
Cannon & Ball
What brilliant evenings with Cannon and Ball at Elea Golf Club on Friday and Kamares Club on Saturday and a nice restful day with them on Sunday. Tommy and Bobby are two of the nicest people we could ever work with, true professionals and very funny. Big thanks you our other performers, Bob Clarkson, Davey Woodford, Mellisa, Michael Anastasiou, Pippa Langhorne and Tina Chester. Must mention the staff and head Chef John Kouphou at Elea for more fantastic food and everyone who came to see Tom and Bobby.
Royal Ascot Paphos Style
Our 3rd Royal Ascot Race Day at Elea Golf Club on Saturday 22nd June was a big success for everyone concerned. The club was again transformed for a day at the races and ladies dressed to thrill, most with superb hats, in true Ascot Style.
The afternoon commenced with Pimms and live music on the terrace followed by a superb buffet meal and traditional strawberries and cream with Champagne to round off the perfect Ascot atmosphere.
Along with live entertainment the racing was accompanied by a charity tote and raffle to raise money for the Cancer Patients Support group. The race goers supported this and a total of €1035 was raised for the charity. Our sponsors, 2bbeautiful and Blevins Franks helped us enormously and we thank them for their support and everyone who helped to raise this money.
St. George’s Football Club Go Gecko Fun Day
Great to see so many people at the St. George’s Football Club Go Gecko Fun Day. It was amazing to see the pitch transformed into something akin to an English Country Fair. Well done to Andi and Dave plus all the helpers. Over 40 stalls and great entertainment throughout the day which made it a memorable day. We will be doing it again next year.
One Dream, One Wish
We have just heard that Andre Friedrich raised more money than first thought on his 72 hole golf challenge. The amount has been checked and confirmed as €3500 for the charity! Well done to Andre, Karl and Brian who did the four rounds in one day. The charity ‘One Dream One Wish’ will be very happy and thanks to everyone who supported and helped during the day.
Local charities benefited by €1118.50 from our Kamares Festival which took place on Saturday 25th May. We had over 50 stands, Tsangarides and Kolios wineries plus Aphrodite’s Rock, the new Tsada based Real Ale micro brewery and hundreds of people turning up to enjoy the day.
Local children’s dance groups Young Stars and Alison Cook’s Dance Studio provided entertainment along with Rock FM and a team of Morris Dancers. ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ star, Pippa Langhorne and her dog Buddy, delighted the crowds with a performance during the afternoon. For the more energetic there were Aqua Aerobics, Jazzercise demonstrations and a tennis tournament.
The Kamares Festival is always very popular and this year was the biggest so far. We must thank our main sponsors Uniseal and 2bbeautiful because with their help we raised a record amount for the charities. The Cancer Patients Support Group, Friends Hospice, Archangel Michael’s Hospice and The Margarita Liasidou Foundation will all benefit greatly from the event. I hope we can continue to hold the festival here and help raise money for these worthy causes. Thanks to everyone who came and to all my helpers. Eléa Spring Fair
The Spring Fair at Elea Golf Club on Sunday 21st April brought in hundreds of visitors and also helped a local charity. The event had almost fifty stalls with a wide range of items on sale including jewellery, painted glassware, candles and art works.
Visiting children enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt along with a visit from the Easter Bunny, face painting and a colouring competition in the entertainment area. A charity raffle was held during the day which raised €400 for the Friends Hospice, Paphos. Head Professional Karl Morgan gave the children free golf lessons and held a putting competition for everyone.
We were also able to provide entertainment including Russian, English and Greek traditional dancing. The programme closed with a demonstration of fire eating so there was something for everyone’.
Coral Star Easter Fair
Thanks to everyone who came along to our first Craft Fair of the year at the Coral Star on Saturday 30th March. It was nice to see everyone and I look forward to seeing you all at the Elea Spring Fair on the 21st April
Health & Wellbeing Festival
Thanks to everyone who came to our Health and Well Being Festival at the Aloe Hotel on Sunday 17th Feb. Your generosity helped us raise 500 euros for the Cancer Patients Support Group and Archangel Michael’s Hospice. Thanks to all who donated prizes and of course to all the exhibitors who made it such a well supported event. I must say a big thank you to my little army of helpers who were fantastic and made such a difference to the money we raised. It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves and so many friends.
Our themed Casino Night at Elea Golf Club on Saturday 23rd February proved to be a great evening and a successful one. In addition to the high quality four course meal and live entertainment from Melissa there was a charity element to the evening.
Guests were all given complimentary casino chips at the start and there was a prize for the lady and gentleman who won the most chips during the evening. Paula Anderton and George Sidiras took the honours and we raised 630 euros which was donated to the Archangel St Michael’s Hospice in Paphos.
