The Easter Bazaar which took place at the Angelika Restaurant, Paphos on Saturday 7th April drew a large number of visitors and raised a considerable sum of money for a local charity. In addition to almost 40 stall holders there were performances from the Paphos Zingers and the Thompson School of Dance. The Easter Bunny arrived to help with an Easter Egg hunt which proved very popular with the children.

A charity raffle took place throughout the day and raised three hundred and twenty Euros for The Paphiakos and CCP Animal Welfare. Organisers In Any Event presented the money to the charity on Wednesday and said ‘we always support local charities and we were delighted to be working for this particular charity at the Easter Bazaar. They do such a great job and we were happy to help raise funds for such a good cause’.

Kamares Club – Friday 20^th April 2012

We are very pleased to be hosting our second evening of classical songs and songs from the shows featuring Tina Chester. This time the venue is Kamares Club, Tala near Paphos at 7-30pm on Friday 20^th April.

Tina is a classically trained singer and relatively new to Cyprus but has built a big reputation as a versatile vocalist covering operatic arias, songs from the musicals and standards. Elea Golf Club was our first venue with Tina and it was a sell out which, due to the response, prompted us to look for another venue. Again, spaces at Kamares are limited so please book early.

For those who have yet to see her Tina has performed in exclusive venues in Cyprus and her repertoire covers operatic arias and classic songs in French, Italian, German, Spanish and Latin. Paphos based Golf World are opening their doors for an introductory event on the 23rd and 24th March to allow golfers and new comers to the game an opportunity to try their outstanding ‘Virtual Golf’ simulator.

Normal clubs and balls are used and the simulator has a full training and analysis feature allowing golfers of all levels to see how they are performing. For seasoned golfers this is a highly realistic training and practice facility which can help in the all round improvement to their game. People new to golf can see instant results and receive coaching to enable them to improve quickly without the pressure of being on a course. It’s a great way to try the game and see if you like it.

There are thirty one courses to play including St Andrews, Carnoustie, Doral’s ‘Blue Monster’ and Pebble Beach as well as other top rated courses. Visitors to the open weekend will receive an introduction to the equipment and its uses and then take part in a special prize ‘longest drive’ and ‘nearest the pin’ competition.

All equipment is provided but regular golfers can bring their own clubs is they prefer. The entry fee is just 10 Euros per person with prizes for ladies and men and the competition will be operating from 9am to 7pm on both days.
